Mining
Hey everybody. ^^ As a lot of you know, yesterday, I stated that, since Version 1.2 X may take another one or two months to fully complete, I will be doing some updates on this version aswell (every once and a while, of course; Version 1.2 X takes priority).
Most people seemed to want Mines, the Rock Trade-In, and the Minigame Center. First done will be the Mines.
Remember how I had about 90% of the Mines completed before, then I started on Version 1.2 X? I'll be completing destroying the progress of the previous mining system. Since then, I have learned a lot about AJAX and JavaScript, which is why I shall be doing so. The new system will be very dynamic (in other words, the movement system will be live, so long as it does not cause server/lag problems).
It will take a bit of time to complete, seeing as it will be a huge system, requiring several changes to the database, scripts, etc. I will also have to make several images and crap. Here is what I will likely have to complete:
-> Movement
-> Map Blocks
-> Wild Battles
-> Capturing
-> Mining
-> Digging
-> Searching
-> Mining Data
-> Location Data
-> Mining Shop
There are other things, I am guessing. The stuff mentioned above is just whatever I could think of off the top of my head.

Current Version
As mentioned earlier today, I know that Version 1.2 X will take awhile before released.
In the mean time, I'll do some updates here too. Earlier, I mentioned that I wanted some ideas on what to do for this version. Most people said the Rock Trade-In, Mines, and Minigame Center. I'll try to get those completed over time, though, please keep in mind that Version 1.2 X takes priority.
As you may have guessed, I'm redoing the Mining system (I had a lot of it completed in the previous months, however, since then, I have learned a lot). Now, the Mining system, rather than being only 50% dynamic, it will be 100% dynamic (in terms of movement).
It will likely be better than Pokémon Crater's mapping system, with the exception that no other players will be shown. Why? Since the movement system is fully dynamic, it will be pretty much impossible.

Staff Poll
I did a poll yesterday and earlier to see people's opinion on certain staff members. Thank you for your submissions!
As expected, Cybelle got the most good votes by a landslide. o-o Most of the other staff did well. Here is what people said they hated about certain staff members the most:
1. Banning for having two multiple accounts.
2. Being mean, when it could be handled better.
3. Breaking rules (swearing).
4. Ignoring them.
5. Training more than helping.

New Year
Where I live, it is officially 2009! It has been quite a long and, for a lot of us, painful year. Let us hope that 2009 is a good year!
Notice: there will not be any sort of New Year event, I presume -- we just had a Christmas Event, and, I'm sure most of you would like for me to utilize my time in order to further develop Version 1.2 X.
There will, however, be a special Promotional Pokémon.

For those of you who still do not know, or are new -- I am currently remaking every script (it will be called Version 1.2 X).
I'm currently one script behind, because, last night, my sister took my computer and wouldn't get the heck off. D< I was taking a shower. >>
Anyway, the Add Pokémon function seems to be a success, though it was difficult to test because it contains nearly 1,100 lines of code (yay). I'm pretty sure all errors are gone. x3
I have fully redone the 'alerts' system (known as 'notices' on this version). It is A LOT neater, and, more noticable. I also fixed a few errors which may show notices when they are not supposed to be shown (some of you know what I am talking about). The notifications will be displayed at a fixed position at the top of the page, so you actually see it, even if you scroll.
I also made it easy to edit types (like Silver, Golden, Emerald, Legacy, etc.), their abilities (this is new), additional statistics, etc.
I did a few other things, but the Add Pokémon script, functions, and tables took priority yesterday.
Next up: Promotional Pokémon... easy enough. x3

Meh.
Well, I managed to get quite a bit of work done, seeing as I worked all day (excluding supper, and when Belle and I pwned Ultra on Super Smash Bros. Brawl). Here is what I completed:
Major/Semi-Major
-> Completed pagination class.
-> Completed News Comments page.
-> Fixed two extremely major bugs within Signup.
-> Finished IP bans.
Minor/Semi-Minor
-> Made a function which automatically calculates percentages, formats them, etc.
-> Made a custom 'checkbox' function.
-> Made a 'hide signatures' option in News Comments.
-> Created a function which automatically displays HP bars, EXP bars, etc.
-> Fixed Internet Explorer layout issues.
-> Added the little thing at the top which displays your Platinum Coins.
There were some other things, but I've done so much today that I can't remember it all.
Sorry if I seem down: I'm just getting stressed because of the guy who scammed me or whatever (Roxas) a month ago. The stuff is still not settled, making it hard for me to pay off my server. Plus, now I have the collections agency or whatever on my a**. Yay. I love my life.

Today.
On Version 1.2 X, today, I have done the following so far:
-> Finished the "Current News" page and handler.
-> Altered certain script functions, and added one.
-> Added something called "Page Prizes" (which are sometimes found on certain pages).
-> Created the Storyline page.
-> Created the About TPM page.
-> Created the Lite Mode layout.
The day is not finished yet, so more will be added to the list later, I presume.

Work and such...
I just woke up, which means, back to work. ^^
I will be refining the "Lite Mode" layout (which is the equivalent of "Fast Mode" on Version 1.1 X). If you try out Fast Mode on here, you will know it looks horrible, and doesn't take any images away except for the navigation.
Yesterday, as planned, I got a start on the news system. I shall be continuing the progress upon the news system after I finish the Lite Mode layout, which should be done in about an hour. I'll update this post when I'm finished.

Hey.
Hey everybody. I've took a break off yesterday (well, I did some work [making the Wii Browser work on TPM]) and Christmas (excluding the event). Having a break every once and awhile is good, especially considering all of the work I do on this site daily.
Anyway -- today, so far: I have completed all ten banners for the logo switcher on Version 1.2 X, and I've pretty much finished up Lite Mode (which, in Version 1.1 X, is called Fast Mode).
I am hoping to finish up all layout components and errors for all common browsers today. After that, I'll finally be able to start on the news system, maybe.
Notice
Finally found the icon for OriginGiratina, SkyShaymin, and all Unown forms. The Unown icons will be implemented next version, though, not this one, as they would be incompatible unless I change a few scripts. It actually took awhile to download them all (had to resize them, change background colour, transparentize, etc.).

Unfortunately, I am still working on the Christmas Event (one minigame to go). I tried to stay up last night to finish it, but I was extremely tired, and my body was aching because of it.

Stuff
I have been working on Version 1.2 X (which is, for those of you who do not already know, an entire redo of all pages; though no data will be lost). More or less, I've been trying to make all of the other pages dynamic (for example, the hide banner function will automatically hide it, without opening up a new window)... hard to explain.
Of course, making things dynamic is not as easy as it looks, especially considering I've just learned AJAX.
I've almost finished the logged-in things (normally doesn't take long, however, with all of the added crap this version, it is taking awhile)... basically, I just need to create the images for the alternate styles, and, make the script so you can modify the layout.
After that, I'll be starting on the news system.

Christmas Holidays
For many of us, Christmas Break starts today/tomorrow. It really depends -- some schools don't require you to go tomorrow (you CAN go, but you don't have to). Obviously, I choose not to.
The Christmas Break will be a good time for me to get some work done on TPM Version 1.2 X, so yay. Yes, I have no life. xD
Still creating the logged in stuff for the new version. Told you it would take awhile. Things will be very customizable, so it will require a lot of extra work on my part.
Update: sort of almost done the logged in page. Things are going smoothly, and I am psyched to see what the final result will be. ^_^

Staff
There has been crap going amongst the staff members lately.
First of all: there have been several people promoted lately because I've needed extra help. I am unable to come onto TPM as much as I used to, and I still have to deal with a lot of crap still.
I think that the recent additions are great ones, and I've delved deeper into just their Play Time -- their Play Time isn't much of a factor.
Rather, I've seen how they might be able to help, and, of course, to see who is most determined (huge factor: if you are not determined, you won't bother).
Some people said certain members should be promoted over others (for example, people were saying "replace CKBliss with [Jr]".
I am quite confident in my choices, and, if they mess up, oh well. Give them another chance. Members have chances, and therefore, so do staff. People make mistakes, get angry, etc. You can't say that you are perfect.
Another thing; I cannot monitor EVERY user.
Basically: if I promote somebody, it is for a reason. It is easy to say "PROMOTE JOHN MCCAIN!12@@244" if you just look at his levels, play time, etc., rather than delve deeper into what you are saying.
Yes, there are others on the site who also deserve a staff position, but like I said, I can't notice everybody (there are over 50,000 unique users).

Random News Post (Yay)
I've finished the part where I make Version 1.2 X compatible with Internet Explorer (was quite easy, for once), however, I've still not completed the 'logged in' page (well, not fully). Why?
Well, I've been doing some work on learning new JavaScript functions, AJAX, and Flash, which will be used upon certain parts of the website (AJAX will be more commonly used than Flash).
I've learned what I need to about AJAX, and I am in the process of putting it to work on the Login script and the Signup script. Unfortunately, it may be somewhat difficult, as I've only just learned the language (and it won't be a simple 'check if the string is too short' thing).
Flash will not be a priority, right now. Chances are I will not even make any Flash features, due to the fact that Flash is quite difficult (or rather, I suck at animations).
I've pretty much finished the AJAX implementations upon the Login page, however there is one last thing which is extremely difficult to do.
As you may have guessed, there will be new Login and Signup screenshots when I finish the AJAX crap.
Also, staff, please stop banning Levi. xD If he does anything bad, screenshot it, send it to me, and I'll report him.

Woohoo?
Lol, this morning, somebody attempted to 'hack' TPM. It said "HACKED BY ROAAAKKK". However, I have looked up everything, and my conclusion is: it was Gex. Don't ban him though, staff.
Now, this guy has been around since the start of TPM and has helped me greatly. He also is the original owner of the domain name 'tpmrpg.net', since, at the time, there was no way for me to purchase it myself.
Recently he was banned, so he likely got angry, and changed the DNS to a site displaying "HACKED BY ROAAAKKK". Why do I think that? Well, when you search "HACKED BY ROAK" on Google, it shows the site "tpmrpg.net", and, for some people, it still shows "HACKED BY ROAK". Thus meaning that the DNS was changed, not the site content itself.
Therefore, it was not hacked. I'll be speaking to Gex about this later.
Oh, and, plus, when I tried to login to my DNS, the password has changed -- which is another hint.
I resolved it with Gex. Apparently he did it because of a fight that him and Roak got into a few weeks ago.
Anyway, I think everything is fixed, but it will depend on your ISP. Here are the possible links available:

Ajax and Flash
A few days ago, I began Version 1.2 X, which will be a remake of most scripts (no data will be lost, though).
Like I said, I am currently making everything in Internet Explorer work correctly (which is basically done) and, creating the logged in pages (which require a ton of work and database changes).
While I am doing the above, in order to make things more dynamic, I will likely be learning more of Ajax and Flash.
Remember that kid who scammed me for about $1,500 and almost caused this site to close? That is still not resolved, and I cannot get in contact with him at all. If you can get me in contact with him somehow, you will be greatly rewarded (and, if I can get it fully resolved, money may be rewarded).
You could always make a fake MSN or something, and try to add him there. Then, if he is online, you could e-mail me (webmaster@crystala.net) with that MSN's password and crap.

Apparently, Atar, Anthro, and Marlo are stolen sprites. They were submitted by Roak, and I was quite confident that they were hers.

Version 1.2 X Screenshots
Hey. Like I said yesterday, I am now fully healed from both of my operations. That means I don't have to take those putrid pills and sleep a lot. xD Which also means that I can finally get back to updating more frequently.
Yesterday, I officially started Version 1.2 X, where I will be redoing most scripts (though there will be no resets). The new version will take awhile to make, as you may have guessed: I have to redo the database, the scripts, and basically everything.

Referral Shop
I have updated the Referral Shop. It now has several new Pokémon available.

Lost Pokémon
Remember how some people lost Pokémon? Well, I made a script which makes it a lot easier to convert them back to normal. So, now, if you lost a Pokémon (it turned into Oddish/Atar), you may contact webmaster@crystala.net only if it is above level 2,000. More than 7,000 Pokémon were lost, so if everybody contacted me, it would be h***. Please keep it down to one or two Pokémon, as more than that will take a very long time. Also, please only contact me if it is important. Make sure that the subject is "Lost Pokémon" if you lost a Pokémon.
Update
Yesterday, it said the minimum was level 500, now it is 2,000. When I got on earlier, I had 2,465 e-mails... isn't that fun? Almost all of them were regarding the Atar/Oddish issue, and, since I was getting new e-mails frequently, it would be impossible to resolve all of the e-mails sent. Only a few were resolved. Sorry.
ALSO, if you donated for any of the lost Pokémon, there is no minimum level.
I will most likely not reply though, due to the massive amount of e-mails I get, but I will restore your Pokémon. Be sure to tell me your user ID and Pokémon lost. Do not lie, as I still have most of the old records.
I am starting Version 1.2 X, where most scripts will be redone (which is why it has to be released as a whole instead of it being gradually worked on).
Nothing will be reset.
When I start working (finally starting to feel better, not fully yet, though), I will post some screenshots as soon as I get them.
And no, I am not selling this website. I still have to get the PayPal thing cleared, however, my server provider is very understanding, and I have spoken with the prime owner of the PayPal account.

Version 1.2 X
There is a very high chance that TPM will not be sold or closed. It is a long story, but yeah.
I almost feel better from my operation (I don't see how something so slight could be so bad). So, I'll be starting Version 1.2 X, where I will be redoing tons of the scripts (probably all of them), however, there will not be a reset. You will get to keep most of your data.
Although, when the version is finished, you may lose a slight amount of your data (for example, a Pokémon like Weedle could be changed into a Starly, though the chances are very low). Certain Pokémon will not be changed back due to certain reasons. For example, if your Rayquaza changed into an Atar, I may change the Atar into a Deoxys rather than Rayquaza.
I'll also be getting rid of the shoutbox which loads on every single page. Some of you will be happy about this, others will not. Basically, the shoutbox has been causing numerous crashes, so I'll be doing other things.
So yeah, Version 1.2 X will take a very long time.

Yeah, TPM's closing (almost for sure this time). ^_^ Isn't that awesome? T_T
Anyway, anybody who remembers Roxas will know that he donated a lot in August. Well, he has not been on in a large sum of time, so, I had demoted him. For whatever reason, he created claims for everything he ever sent.
So, again, we're in the negative balance, but only one issue: this time, it is $-1,400. And for those of you who think that this is just some sort of trick in order to get donation money or whatever; click here.
Besides, I probably won't accept donations this time; for one simple reason: $1,400 is nearly impossible to reach. If you want to take a chance, you can e-mail webmaster@crystala.net, but you will not get any prizes on the site. Please try not to e-mail me about anything else, I don't want to deal with it.
Also, Roxas, if you're reading this, please e-mail webmaster@crystala.net. I'll explain everything.
I'll probably be selling TPM on eBay, as much as it hurts to do so. This website's net worth is about $24,000, but obviously, nobody is going to pay that, so I'm putting it up for probably $8000 or so.
Thanks to somebody helping us recently, there is a fairly high chance (about 35%) that TPM will stay up. He has been aiding me in clearing these claims (not by donations) by making calls and giving advice.

The shoutbox may be leaving soon, as it expires in a few days. The crap involving AceXxxXAce has still not been resolved by PayPal, so I can't pay it. I am currently at a balance of $-430. I am very late on my server payment as well, so if this is not resolved in a few days, I will likely have to close TPM temporarily (or, depending on the outcome, forever). Let's hope it doesn't come to that; I have enough to deal with already. D:
Anyway, like I said in the previous post, I have still not recovered from my operation. >.> They say that they will likely have to perform another operation... yay. ^_^
Well, as I said, TPM may be closing temporarily or permanetly due to somebody else's selfishness (AceXxxXAce). Most likely, it will not, as I usually find some sort of solution, or somebody else helps me. Currently, my PayPal balance is at about $-430, and, of course, I can't pay my server off if I don't have PayPal. To make matters worse, its not my PayPal (not old enough), so, since the other guy is in the negative balance, my family has to pay him with almost all of our social security money.
Without any money (none of my parents have jobs due to medical conditions), obviously, I can't continue to do this site for a while.
Long story, but basically, he created a PayPal claim after selling the stuff he got for donating here (I don't let people donate for stuff anymore, though), he decided to get his money back too. Basically, it was all a scam... yay. ^_^
Anyway, I'd love it if anybody could help me with this. I know most of you can't, due to your age and stuff. Since the site is currently in crisis mode, if you donate, you may get something in return (if you want something in return, you'll have to tell me).  I managed to get enough money in real life to pay off the shoutbox (not via PayPal though). We need about $550 more in order to fully pay off the server (would be $325, but my other payment for this month is also due). We have had several donations so far, so thanks! Shadows of Almia
Pokémon Ranger -- Shadows of Almia has been released on the Nintendo DS. I want to get this game soon, but it is obviously hard to afford, considering my age.

Life... yeah.
Still recovering from surgery, unfortunately... and it got infected again. Lucky me! ^_^
In a few days, I'm supposed to go back to the clinic to get it checked again. In the mean time, I'm on certain pills, so I'm supposed to sleep a lot in order for the pills to work.
I'll only be doing small things in the mean time (such as Promotional Pokémon changes), since I do not have time to create anything new.
I hope to be fully healed in 1 week or so, but I'm really not sure.

Yeah! Barack Obama is the next Presidential Elect of the United States! Please wish him luck (even if you were a McCain supporter) and pray for him (if you have a religion).
If you 'hate' him, that is obviously no reason not to wish him luck. This presidency affects the entire planet, so yeah.
It was a very historic event -- the first African American elected President of the United States.

Operation
Okay, I finally got operated on for my ingrown toenail, which I've had for almost eight years. >_> I won't have very much time for TPM over next the two weeks (apparently, I'm supposed to take it easy, since the toenail was extremely bad). The regular 'fixes' were not working (such as hot salt water, anti-biotics, etc.)... so, meh.
Anyway, due to this, updates are going to be slowed down drastically over the next two weeks or so. I'll try to do what I can, however, I will not be able to work too much (since I need sleep so that the nail grows back soon).

Man, so much stress. Obviously, as mentioned earlier, I was planning on closing TPM... I thought it over, and I have decided not to.
I've demoted some people; apparently, some of them have been talking crap about me. Some of them also aren't helpful or active.
Belle is now a Webmaster! Xyphon and Latimew were demoted because, apparently, Xyphon quit, and, Latimew seems to be barely online. She has been one of the most, if not the most, helpful users within the lifetime of TPM.

Thanks to everyone who congratulated me and supported me and a big thanks to Cless, who proves yet again that he is stronger than the average noob.

Progress - October 23, 2008
Hey, everybody. Today, I've decided to work on the Mines again... I have fully completed the "Mine", "Search", and "Dig" features. In addition, I have fully completed the moving system.
I'll have more completed later on. ^^
Here is a screenshot (only one currently) -- yeah, I know the background is horrible and whatever. Well, if I had actually used the layout, it would not work on Internet Explorer; and, it will kill the server (the moving system).

Last night, there were rumours going around that I was going to close down this website.
That is only partially true, I guess -- I was extremely stressed again (and anybody who is stressed probably knows partially what I am going through each day), I have been feeling continually sick, I have ingrown toenails (which I am getting surgery on tomorrow... fun), among other things.
Overall, I wish it was like before... where I could code, and, not be disturbed. Many of you who were around in the early days know that I completed a lot each day -- sometimes almost twenty-five separate, fully-functioning scripts. I am an overwhelmingly fast coder (and coding is easy as heck)... however, member issues, financial issues, lag, and server problems hold me back.
It is not entirely true because I would not actually 'close' it, per-say; I would sell it (TPM is worth about $17,000), and invest that into creating an amazing, fast RPG. If I did/or I do ultimately sell it, I would leave it in capable hands.
Anyway, there is only a 0.6% chance that I would ever sell TPM... TPM plays an overwhelmingly important role within my life -- way more than school, or life in general. Even if I did, I would come back.
Today, I will be fixing the EXP values (they had huge problems, for example; level 1000 "a" has 10000 total EXP, and level 1000 "b" has 90000 total EXP), and, creating a script called the "Daily Prize" -- where you get a free thing everyday. Done the EXP thing... if there are any problems, please tell me.
